Hey, sewsistas! Hope you’re all doing well. I am so excited to be sharing this post with you. One thing you should know about me besides being a sewing addict is my obsession with maxi skirts, specifically pleated maxi skirts. I just love how easy they are to style and how feminine I look in them. I have an hourglass figure and I’ve found that pleated and circle skirts look best on me as they come in on the waist and flare out around the hip area.

Anyways, I want to share this vibrant skirt I made using this gorgeous fabric I purchased from a market back home in Saudi Arabia. I really love the way it turned out. Let me know what you think of it in the comment section and how you would style it.

Pattern Description:
Butterick 5285  View B
Pattern Sizing:
I cut a size 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing it?
Yes. I think it looks even better as a maxi skirt.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love how easy the pleats were to make
Having to slipstitch the inside of the  waistband
Fabric Used:
Cotton Poplin.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes made:
Just lengthened it to a maxi length
Would you sew it again?
Yes, I would.
On a scale of one to three, one being the least,  how modest is this pattern?
Two, as I had to lengthen it to make it modest to my liking
I’m obsessed with this skirt!
