Hey, Sewsistas! Today’s post is on this very simple maxi dress I made using a 70s inspired pattern from Simplicity. I have an obsession with 70s sewing patterns as I find them to be modest and easy to work with. I currently have about 10 in my sewing pattern stash, and I can’t wait to make something with each and every one of them. In an upcoming post, I will be sharing more about my 70s sewing patterns and where I purchase them from. In the meantime check out this pretty dress I made. Let me know what you think about it in the comment sections.

Pattern Description:
Simplicity 1059 View A
Pattern Sizing:
I cut a size 14.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
For the most part yes, I jus had an issue with the neckband.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like that it comes with a sash
I like how flowy it is
Fabric Used:
100% Polyester
Pattern Alterations or any design changes made:
Just lengthened it to make it into a maxi dress
Would you sew it again?
Yes, I would, but I’d used a thicker fabric like rayon.
On a scale of one to three, one being the least,  how modest is this pattern?
Two, as I had to lengthen it to make it modest to my liking
I love it.
